Stars Children's Clinic The children’s division of VA Psychology Center treats children and teenagers (ages 3 years to 18 years of age). Being a child is not always easy. It is difficult to verbally communicate some of the internal turmoil they experience. When external factors such as peer exclusion, teasing, bullying, familial stress (i.e. fighting parents, divorce, abuse or neglect) then add to that turmoil, children need an outlet to deal with this turmoil.
The STARS Children’s Clinic is unique because it offers counseling for children with emotional, psychological, behavioral or social difficulties. Moreover, the STARS Children’s Clinic also offers Naturalistic Applied Behavioral Analysis (NABA) therapy to children with Autism and other developmental conditions. This early intervention approach has been highly effective in helping autistic children harvest spontaneous Speech and Communication, Social Skills, Motivation and Attention, etc. Therefore the Children’s Clinic offers the following services to children of all backgrounds:

- Counseling for children with Adjustment Problems, Anxiety, Anger Management, Depression, Sleeping Difficulties, ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDDs), Learning Difficulties, many more
- Eye Movement Dessensitization and Reprocessing for trauma-related problems
- Expressive Therapy (comprising of art therapy, psycho-drama, role-plays, play therapy, and many more)
- Diagnoses of a wide range of childhood problems (i.e. learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, etc.)
- Naturalistic Applied Behavioral Analysis (NABA) for children on the Autism Spectrum
- Parent Training
- Psycho-educational Assessments
The STARS Children’s Clinic also offers counseling to children in German, French and Italian.
