Our Policy
Confidentiality:
The information obtained from you during sessions will remain confidential and will not be shared with anyone except under the following conditions:
(1) perceived risks to commit serious harm to yourself or others;
(2) Information indicating the abuse of children;
(3) Valuable information during a medical emergency;
(4) A subpoena from the courts to disclose information.
(5) From time to time, our psychologists & therapists, will be consulting with colleagues as a means of supervision with the intent to ensure high quality professional services. However, your confidentiality is fully protected during any of these consultations.
Fee Agreement:
The VA Psychology Center has established a fee of S$160 or $180 (with Director) per 50 minutes session (starting from appointment time). If sessions exceed the allotted 50 minutes, please note that you will be charged for the additional time. The fee is payable in cash, and credit card (Visa and Master card) at the closure of each session.
Cancellation:
To achieve maximum results, therapy needs to take place on a regular basis. The process of therapy should be a commitment to you. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify the VA Psychology Center at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled time so we may be able to offer your appointment to someone else. You may call us at 6235-9602 and leave a voicemail or cancel by e-mail. If you fail to do this, you will be charged the full fee for the missed session. This is a standard practice within the counseling profession and we thank you for your kind understanding in advance.
Right to refuse the provision of services:
The VA Psychology Center reserves the right to refuse the delivery of services to anyone at the sole discretion of the management.
